Overcoming Trauma Children After Natural Disasters

Natural disasters never wanted by anyone. Earthquake, tsunami, until the volcano eruption, recently occurred in Indonesia, Australia, or other parts of the world.

More worrying again, this incident certainly makes all the trauma to victims of natural disasters, especially children.

Children are more susceptible to trauma because of their view of the disaster is much different with adults. This is what can affect children's mental.

When the children are already experiencing such trauma, deep grief, try to invite them to play. For example, playing cards or drawing.

Of the activities that we can know how much grief they are feeling. Second, console them by bringing in a group of people who can entertain.

That way, they can share experiences and talk and not feel alone. Third, adults do not have to cover up the problem of the death of a family member due to the disaster.

Fourth, do not show excessive feelings of sadness in front of them. Because they will record what is seen and warned again about the catastrophic events.

Hopefully this way will help to overcome their trauma with more calm and quick.
